Dear Lord,
This world is heavy, distracting, and often discouraging, and there are many moments in the Christian life when the fight feels long. We grow tired, we feel weak, and at times we wonder whether we are carrying more than we can bear. But through it all, You remain faithful.
We ask that You would strengthen Your people. Strengthen us in the inner life, where so much of the real battle takes place. Strengthen us when temptation rises, when suffering lingers, when prayers feel slow, and when obedience costs more than we expected. Keep us from becoming passive, numb, bitter, or spiritually careless. Do not let discouragement harden into unbelief.
Help us to remain steadfast in Your Word, honest in repentance, serious in prayer, and anchored in the hope of Christ. Remind us that strength is not found in ourselves, but in You. When we feel small, be our stability. When we feel worn thin, renew our minds and steady our hearts. When we are tempted to drift, draw us back quickly.
Teach us to endure well, not with false bravado, but with humble dependence on Your Spirit. Let our faith be deeper than circumstance, and let our obedience remain rooted in love for You rather than fear alone.
Keep Your people strong, Lord, not for our glory, but so that we may remain faithful to the end.
In Jesus name, Amen.
